How do you decide what to build?

When designing a new attraction, Universal Creative goes thru an 'elimination & addition' process where we bring our ideas together and decide which to build and which ones not to. We knew that the Discovery Center had to be family-oriented and Camp Jurassic was the solution. Camp Jurassic allowed us to bring in 2 new family attractions that allowed us to satisfy every age group in the park. The park had no family coasters, so a family coaster was on the drawing board. But what type of coaster? Being Universal, we wanted to be unique and decided to make you go backward. Not too thrilling, yet not boring. 

 

The Theming

Inside the Discovery Center, you can visit the laboratory filled with gadgets and gizmos that help scientists research prehistoric creatures. Outside at Camp Jurassic, we wanted to have energy flow thru the land. We achieved that by adding making sure the rides were visible. Not only the rides, but the In-Gen Corporation helicopter provides both a pic opportunity and even more energy!

 

The Music

When walking through the area, the music is filled with energy and mystery. It truly is an amazing piece of work and brings in the land together.
